Best BBQ on Newton Conover area. I especislly like the nicely sized BBQ tray that's ideal for me as a weight sensitive senior.

Was horrible never again no dessert at all. Bad attitude from cashier which was owner. Nasty building n very expensive for very bad food...

Food was horrible my husband got the brisket which was tough and had no flavor I got a burger for me and my daughter and they tasted worse than a school hamburger and got my son a hot dog which looked like it had been sitting in water for several hours biggest waste of $30

Great food and service

I love this type of restaurant, and I am a local gal, but after waiting in line for a short time and seeing how the male order taker was acting to the customers, I asked my husband if we could go somewhere else. He was being sarcastic to the max. There's a time and a place but order-taking was not the place for such disrespect. And, they didn't have prices on the menu. And not many things to choose from. It will probably years before I try Little Pigs again.

They have been in business for over 60 years there while others have came and gone. It would be nice to have larger portions of meat on your plate specials.

Ordered A Barbeque Pork Sandwhich on regular bread, asked for it to be toasted.Only 1 side was lightly toasted.Tasted the pork, did not taste like it had barbeque on it at all.Could not even see any barbeque on it.Owner had a attitude. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I eat at Little Pigs BBQ at least once weekly. The pit cooked BBQ is delicious. Anybody who likes North Carolina style BBQ will be happily satisfied. Owners and staff always friendly and restaurant is very clean.

Been coming here for a while. Great food and great staff. Environment is warm and welcoming, and you always leave feeling full and happy.

Very good food. I live in Boston. Eat here about twice a year. Yummy.

Food is good. Booth tables are way to tight to be comfortable in. Don’t go within at least 30 mins of closing or you may not get what you want because they start shutting everything down early. We were there at 1:30 and they close at 2 on Saturdays, I ordered a burger but they wouldn’t make it because they had already shut the grill down. I was able to get a bbq sandwich but while we were eating they were locking all the doors and cleaning up everything at least 10 mins before closing. It felt like we were being rushed out the door and was a nuisance to them by being there and it wasn’t even time to close yet. I feel like if you have a closing time on your door, as a restaurant you should serve people until the time listed as your closing time. If you want to close down the grill at 1:30 and lock the doors at 1:40 then tell everyone you close at 1:30 like you truly do.

Food was not good when I went in on Thur Oct 25th 2018! I went go eat before a Thursday night football game and I order a BBQ plate, Food looks good but it wasnt1. Hush Puppies arent suppose to be Burnt and Hard = they were soft somewhat2. Sweet TEA was WATER DOWN badly and had no taste 3. I dont like the Sauce on the BBQ n It ruins the BBQ bc it was slightly Spice, they should ASK what type of Sauce u want on it4. Fries were the only thing good on the plate.5. Cole Slaw was Warm, Cole Slaw is suppose to be COLD! NOT GOOD, WILL NOT GO BACK AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Really local Newton joint that has been around literally forever. Some of the best barbecue (chopped or sliced) and hush puppies around, great North Carolina sauces from mild to spicy ready on the table. Frankly this is my favorite bbq sandwich anywhere though opinions may vary. Pretty good prices, really good if you’re comparing to any major city.Only ding, they aren’t sophisticated with their credit card provider and get overcharged to accept them it seems.. and as a result they don’t take all cards, American Express isn’t accepted.

Being from out of town and depending on the advice of locals, we stopped for supper at Little Pigs Barbeque 😋. The hush puppies were beyond words. The ribs outstanding. The best part about southern BBQ is that they really prepare the meats. And it was the best. Don't let the outside deter you, this is THE place for good BBQ.

Awesome barbecue.

Nice decor, friendly people. Captures BBQ joint nicely in look. Meat was moist and tasty. This places suffers from the problem of a lot of places. It offers variety at the expense of quality. They need to focus on their 6-7 best items and do those excellent and cut the rest. Biggest fault is no pickels. I've never been to a BBQ place that didn't have pickels. Hush puppies should be made fresh or have a limited shelf life. Cold hush puppies which are grease soggy are not that desired. Sauce lacks distinction. If your close by it's a place to stop for a sandwich, but going a ways out of your way to get it is maybe not your best use of time.

Great food I've enjoyed since 1978 or 79. And it tastes EXACTLY the same. Fantastic chopped BBQ. Hush puppies are off the chain! Staff could be friendlier and more attentive. Would probably help it's popularity.

BBQ was not as good as it used to be. The fries had been under the warming lamp...not sure if I will be going back. Cole slaw was great as always.

These folks work hard cooking pork over wood to keep bona fide North Carolina barbecue alive in Catawba County.

This place is a great find! The BBQ is delicious, the building inside is super cool, good baked beans, and the hush puppies were tasty. Can’t wait to be in this area again so I can revisit.

Best Barbecue around, got another one 5minutes from my house, but going 25 miles away is worth the drive.

We liked the name better than the food. BBQ sandwich was skimpy. Brisket was all fat and chewy. French fries tasted old. Didn't care for the beans. Potato salad was good. Won't be back.

Brisket is heavenly. Moist, tender and falling apart. Very good seasoning on this as well. Pull pork was unsauced and good. Hush puppies were a bit overdone.

Little pigs is the best barbecue in Catawba county in my opinion. They are the only local barbecue restaurant that actually smokes their own meat on site. Everything is absolutely delicious. The Brunswick stew is out of this world! If there is a downside it would be the portion size to price ratio. But then again, good barbecue is not cheap and cheap barbecue is not good.
